This policy explains what information Ember Games ("we") collects when you use embergames.co.za, and your rights under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Information stored on your device

Our games save your progress, high scores, coins, unlocked items and settings (such as sound on or off) in your browser's local storage. This data stays on your device. We never receive it. You can delete it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for embergames.co.za.

Information our providers receive

• Hosting. The site is hosted by Replit. Like any web server, it receives your IP address and basic browser information when you load a page, and it may keep short-lived logs for security and reliability.

Everything else, including our fonts, is served from our own site, so no other company receives your information when you visit.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

We don't currently use cookies, analytics or advertising. If we add them, we'll update this policy first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

Children

Our games are suitable for a general audience. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Your rights

You have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to its processing. You can also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa. To exercise your rights, email hello@embergames.co.za.

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
